At the heart of Funken Lodge, you'll find Funken Bar – the ideal spot to start or end your night.
First opened in 1991, Funken Bar was the first and now the oldest cocktail bar in Longyearbyen. The bar offers a harmonious blend of tradition and sophistication.
Guests can enjoy a diverse menu of handcrafted cocktails ranging from much-loved classics to contemporary Arctic flavours. You can also choose to sample a glass of vintage wines from the extensive wine list, or try a glass from our ever-growing Champagne selection. The bar menu also offers a selection of smaller dishes and plates crafted with high-quality ingredients.
Surrounding the bar, you will find the fireplace lounge and library. This part of the hotel is loved by both guests and locals – an oasis of calm, enriched by its tasteful décor, which offers both intimacy and spaciousness. Here, you can delve into a curated collection of polar literature, tracing the adventures of legendary explorers such as Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen.
