Welcome to Funken Lodge, a hotel with a long and exciting history dating back to 1944. It was initially used to house the officials who worked for the coal mining company. Today, the hotel is fully refurbished and is the perfect place to enjoy an Arctic Adventure. We look forward to welcoming up to our Arctic Oasis, where every detail is taken care of.

Getting to Funken Lodge

Funken Lodge is located in the heart of Longyearbyen, Svalbard, just a 10-minute drive from Longyear airport. Operated by either SAS or Norwegian, there are regular flights departing from Oslo Gardermoen or Tromsø. Upon arrival at Longyear Airport, taxis and airport shuttles are readily available to take you directly up to Funken Lodge.
