An arctic Easter adventure
Easter on Svalbard is a magical time when the island is covered in a soft blanket of snow, and the sun lights up the arctic landscape during the day. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises provide a unique play of colours, creating a warm atmosphere. This is the perfect package for those who appreciate the little extra, where quality and good food go hand in hand with unique nature experiences.

Fantastic views
Included in the package is a great snowcat tour outside of Longyearbyen. The goal for the trip is the Linken lookout point, a little up the mountainside towards Hiorthfjellet on the other side of Adventdalen. The snowcat crosses Adventdalen and drives towards Hiorthhamn. Hiorthamn was the first Norwegian mining town on Svalbard, and in the early 20th century there were barracks, a forge, warehouses, kitchen, sawmill, hospital, residences, offices and a number of mining facilities. The imagination has to work a little to imagine the bustling life that once was. Once you arrive at the viewpoint "Linken", you can enjoy the great view towards Longyearbyen while the guide serves a hot drink.
Wilderness evening
The wilderness evening at Camp Barentz is a very special experience. The camp is located approx. 15 km outside of Longyearbyen, completely surrounded by wild nature. When you arrive at the cozy wooden cabins you will be greeted by your host for the evening. You will be served drinks and a delicious homemade reindeer bidos, followed by campfire coffee and dessert. Then it's time to learn more about the king of the Arctic - the polar bear. After an interesting lecture, we go out and take some photos of the beautiful landscape, before returning to the city.
Easter programme
Friday 29 March – A fantastic 5-course Easter dinner is served in Funktionærmessen Restaurant at 7 pm. Dinner is included in the package.
Saturday 30 March - We organize an Easter egg hunt at the hotel, and serve hot cocoa and cookies at 11 am.
Sunday 31 March - From 1 pm to 4 pm we serve Afternoon Tea in Funktionærmessen restaurant, and there are many Easter goodies on the menu. Afternoon Tea is not included in the package.
